Robert Guy BA(hons) DipArch RIBA
Robert qualified as an architect in 1981. He is a leading expert in the design of Sports, Leisure schemes with a particular emphasis on integrating sports developments with enabling developments such as residential and student accommodation. He has manged a practice for almost 30 years and has designed some of the most innovative sports and leisure schemes in the UK since his first feasibility study for 3 sports halls for Bristol City Council back in 1978. Other important Bristol schemes include the stadium proposals for Bristol Rovers FC at the Memorial Stadium and UWE and the development of the County Ground to provide a new stadium for Gloucestershire CCC to host One Day Internationals. Robert has a considerable experience of residential and student schemes both new build and using redundant offices.
He has lived with Ruth and family in North Bristol for 25 years in a grade 2 Regency House which they have refurbished and continue to improve. He enjoys watching all sports especially Rugby Union and is an accomplished skier. Other pastimes include genealogy, history, listening to music and playing with HIS Lego.
Robert is a member of the RIBA.
